Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is a common neurological disease that may lead to severe disability. Neutrophils play multifaceted roles in the development of AIS, both promoting inflammatory responses and participating in the repair of neural tissue. This review analyzed the characteristics of neutrophils, the role of the AIS, the multiple influences inflammation, as well as the existing and emerging treatment strategies. This review aims to provide a scientific basis for further understanding the pathological mechanism of AIS, exploring potential therapeutic targets, and improving the long-term prognosis of patients by comprehensively reviewing the literature. |
