[Abstract] Objective: To analyze the potential categories of rehabilitation self-efficacy and its relationship with self-care ability in elderly stroke convalescent patients.Method: 144 elderly patients recovering from stroke were selected as the study objects. The general data questionnaire, Stroke Rehabilitation Self-Efficacy Scale (SSEQ), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), and Self-rating Depression Scale (HAMD) were used during rehabilitation treatment. The modified Barthel index (MBI) and the Simple Mental State Examination Scale (MMSE) were investigated. Mplus8.3 software was used to analyze the potential profile of patients' rehabilitation self-efficacy, and SPSS26.0 software was used to compare the self-care ability of patients with different categories of rehabilitation self-efficacy. Results: The rehabilitation self-efficacy of elderly stroke patients in rehabilitation period was divided into two potential categories: general type (27.78%) and good type (72.22%). Age, education level, stroke type, primary caregiver, compliance with rehabilitation exercise, degree of neurological impairment, anxiety, depression, cognitive dysfunction and swallowing disorder were the predictors of potential profile categories of rehabilitation self-efficacy in elderly stroke patients during rehabilitation. The self-care ability of the two potential categories of rehabilitation self-efficacy patients was different (P<0.01).Conclusions: The rehabilitation self-efficacy of elderly stroke patients during rehabilitation is divided into two categories, and the self-care ability of patients with different categories of rehabilitation self-efficacy is different. Medical personnel can formulate and implement corresponding intervention measures according to the homogenous group of patients with rehabilitation self-efficacy and the relevant factors of rehabilitation self-efficacy category, so as to improve the level of rehabilitation self-efficacy and self-care ability of patients. |
