To investigate the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) combined with suspension exercise training on balance ability and motor function in post-stroke hemiplegic patients. Methods: Eighty-two patients with post-stroke hemiplegia admitted to our hospital (from September 2019 to July 2024) were included as subjects. According to the random number table method, the patients were assigned into a suspension exercise group and a combination group, with 41 cases in each group. Patients in the suspension exercise group received suspension exercise training treatment, while those in the combination group received rTMS treatment on this basis. The balance ability, motor function, activities of daily living and walking ability of both groups were observed before treatment (T0) and after 2 weeks of treatment (T1). Results At T1, the motor elliptical area and motor distance of eye opening and closing states, 10-meter walking test (10 MWT) were prominently reduced in the suspension exercise group and the combination group, the levels of Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity Scale (FMA-UE), Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Lower Extremity Scale (FMA-LE), Modified Barthel Index (MBI) and Holden Functional Ambulation Category Scale (Holden) were prominently increased (P<0.05), and the differences in the above indicators between the two groups reached a prominent level (P<0.05). Conclusion: The rTMS combined with suspension exercise training can effectively improve the balance ability and motor function of post-stroke hemiplegic patients. |
