| Acute ischemic stroke is the leading cause of disability and death among Chinese residents, posing a serious challenge to social economic development and health. As a rapidly developing treatment method in recent years, mechanical thrombectomy has gained global recognition for its efficacy. This article will explore three major aspects: recent research on some indications for mechanical thrombectomy, comparison of the effectiveness and safety of direct and bridge thrombectomy, and mechanical thrombectomy failure caused by anatomical access difficulties. |
